Bookmark All Open Tabs On Your Desktop Browser

Do you want to bookmark all open tabs in your desktop browser? While doing some web surfing like searching for movies, online shopping — and suddenly you want to shut down your PC. But you don’t want to lose the sites where you were on your tabs. So, you could bookmark every tab individually, but it takes too long.

Whenever you’re not using a private browsing window, then your browsing history is stored. It means you can easily reopen earlier closed tabs. After opening each earlier closed tab individually also takes too much time.

There is an easy fix to bookmark all the currently open tabs at once in each of the major desktop browsers. Today we’ll display you how in Firefox, Chrome, Vivaldi, Opera, Safari, the new Chromium-based Edge.

Bookmark All Tabs On Your Desktop Browser:

Google Chrome

Step 1:

Tap the Chrome menu button located in the upper-right corner of the browser window.

Step 2:

Hover your cursor over Bookmarks and then choose Bookmark open pages from the submenu.

Step 3:

From the ‘Bookmark all tabs’ dialog, choose where to create the new folder for the bookmarks. We choose the Bookmarks bar so that the folder accessible very easily.

Step 4:

Then input Name for the folder and then tap Save.

Step 5:

Our bookmarks folder shows on the Bookmarks bar.

Step 6:

If you want to open all the bookmarks in the new tabs to the right of the recently open tabs. You can then right-tap on the new folder on the Bookmarks bar. Then choose Open all (X), where “X” is the total number of tabs stored in the folder.

Step 7:

Also, you can use Open all (X) in the incognito window or Open all (X) in a new window.

Mozilla Firefox

Step 1:

If you want to bookmark all open tabs in Firefox. You can then right-tap on any tab and select Select All Tabs.

Step 2:

Then, right-tap on any tab again and select Bookmark Tabs.

Step 3:

Choose the folder where you like to save the bookmarks. We select Bookmarks Toolbar so our bookmarks are accessible easily.

Step 4:

Input a Name for the folder that contains bookmarks for all the open tabs.

Step 5:

Then tap Add Bookmarks.

Step 6:

If you want to open all your bookmarked tabs, right-tap on the new folder on the Bookmarks bar and choose Open All in Tabs.

However, the bookmarked web pages are now opened in the new tabs to the right of the recently open tabs.

Vivaldi

In Vivaldi, you can also bookmark all open tabs through the Tab Sessions feature.

Step 1:

If you like to save all your open tabs as a session. Then tap the Vivaldi menu located in the upper-left corner of the browser window.

Step 2:

Now hover over File, and then choose Save Open Tabs as Session from the submenu.

NOTE: You can also right-tap on any tab and choose Save All Tabs as Session from the popup menu.
Step 3:

From the Save Open Tabs as Session dialog, input a name for the folder in which all bookmarks will be saved.

Step 4:

If you have different windows open, and you like to save the tabs open in the recent window, then check the Save Only Tabs in the Current Window box.

Step 5:

Tap Save.

Step 6:

If you like to open a saved session. You can then tap the Vivaldi menu located in the upper-left corner of the browser window. Then hover over File, and then choose Open Saved Session from the submenu.

Step 7:

From the Open Session dialog, choose the session you like to open from the list.

Step 8:

The tabs in the stored session will be opened to the right of the recently open tabs in the current window. If you like to open the tabs from the saved session in the new window. Then check the Open Session in a New Window box.

Step 9:

Tap Open.

Step 10:

You can also choose a session and tap Delete on the Open Session dialog to remove that session.

Opera

Opera-Bookmark All Open Tabs

In Opera, you can also save all the currently open tabs, but they’re not stored as bookmarks. They’re stored in a Speed Dial folder.

Step 1:

If you like to save all open tabs to a Speed Dial folder, right-tap on any tab and choose to Save all tabs as Speed Dial folder.

Step 2:

However, the new Speed Dial folder using your saved tabs is named Folder by default.

Step 3:

If you want to modify the name of the new Speed Dial folder, hover your cursor over the folder and tap on the button that shows. Then choose ‘Edit title’.

Step 4:

Input a new Name on the popup dialog and then tap OK.

Step 5:

If you like to open all the saved tabs in the Speed Dial folder, hover your cursor over the folder and then tap on the  button again.

Step 6:

Now choose all the Open all in new tabs to open all the stored tabs on new tabs in the current window.

Step 7:

Also, you can Open all in a private window or Open all in a new window.

Chromium-Based Edge

Also, you can bookmark tabs in Chromium-based Edge, but MS is working on its latest Chromium-based model of Edge that’s much better. We’ll also display to you how to bookmark all the recently open tabs in the latest Chromium-based Edge.

Step 1:

If you want to store all the currently open tabs, then tap the Edge menu () and choose Favorites.

Step 2:

From the ‘Add all tabs to favorites’ dialog, input a Name for the folder that contains the stored tabs and then choose a folder to store the new folder in. We select the Favorites bar.

Step 3:

Tap Save.

Step 4:

Now on the Favorites bar, right-tap on the new folder and choose Open all (X), where “X” is the total number of tabs that are saved in the folder. As it will open all the saved tabs in the latest tabs in the open window.

Step 5:

You can also Open all (X) in a new window or Open all (X) in the private window.

NOTE: If you can’t view the Favorites bar. Then tap the Edge menu (). Now move down on the General pane, and tap the Show the favorites bar toggle button so it’s blue and reads On.

Safari

After using a Mac and you want Safari, you can store all recently open tabs in Safari too.

Step 1:

Keep in mind that Safari is also an active app and then tap the Bookmarks menu located at the top of the display screen. Then choose Add Bookmarks for These X Tabs, where “X” is the total number of tabs open in the window.

Step 2:

From the dialog that shows, choose where to Add this bookmarks folder to from the drop-down list.

Step 3:

Then input a name for the latest folder that contains all the bookmarks from all the recent open tabs. Its default name is Saved Tabs.

Step 4:

Tap Add.

Step 5:

If you like to open all the stored bookmarks in the latest tabs in the current Safari window, initially, keep in mind that the sidebar is open on the left. If not, tap on the Show sidebar button located at the top of the window.

Step 6:

Then, right-tap on the new folder and choose Open in New Tabs.

Other Alternatives For Saving All Tabs

You can also save the tabs URLs from your open tabs after copying all the URL links from all the open tabs in your browser than pasting them into the text file or other file.

If you mistakenly close Firefox or Chrome without saving your current tabs, you then can reopen then closed tabs.

In case if you open the same web pages every time whenever you open your browser, you can then set your browser to do that for you.
