Upload your profile picture and you’ll then see a list of results showing web pages that feature that image on their page.

face search

Well, in my test, TinEye found three results, one of which Google had not included as the site died years ago. Also, it missed a newer result that its big brother had picked up as well. Well, to me, this indicates that TinEye’s search index is largely outdated actually.

Unlike Google, TinEye basically links directly to the pages where it found the pictures and it skips the same images.

Google Images Search

One of the go-to places, in order to perform a reverse image search on faces, is Google Images. It’s actually the longest-running reverse image search tool. And there’s also no sign that it’s going away soon, unlike most other face search services as well.

face search

The search results, on the other hand, are website links of sites that basically host the image of yourself that you have uploaded. These results are extensive and accurate actually.

But rather, pictures of folks that Bing believes looks very similar to your profile image. I found these results to range between eerily accurate and completely off base as well.

face search

Well, the URL results are also significantly lacking. However, Google and other similar face search tools returned 20 or more results, Bing didn’t even return 10 results actually. It missed a list of pages online that contains the image as well.

It’s really surprising that such a well-known search engine falls short so badly. Whenever it comes to facial recognition and reverse image search, however, unfortunately, that’s the case here.
