First of all, you have to connect your other devices like a mobile phone and laptop to the same network. Then you can see if you can access the Internet from those devices. After that, you can access the Internet from those devices. I this case the problem is with your computer. Now you cannot access the Internet from those other devices too. In this type of situation, the problem is with the DNS server. The router or your ISP( internet service providers). In most of the cases, you can skip most of the fixes below and follow to fix number it.

2. Can Restart Your Computer if DNS Server not Responding:

This is a very rare solution to every problem with your computer. Whenever you see a problem with your computer. Then the first and foremost thing you should do is restart your system. If you restart your system then fixes and a lot of issues automatically generate.  You have to right-click on the start menu and then select the Shutdown or sign out option. And it is possible that it can create issues with your main network adapter and cause problems. Then especially it happens when you have just installed on a network driver or a network adapter. In case, if you disable all the other network adapters other than the one. Then you are using might sometimes that fix the issue.

If you want to disable the network adapters then open the control panel. Now go to Networking and Sharing Center option.  You can also Change adapter settings.  Apart from your main network adapter then right-click on each adapter and select Disable.

11. To Apply Mac Address Manually:

Normally the Windows is pretty good at detecting and applying the MAC address to the network adapter. Although, there are many situations where this process goes out of control and cause problems. Also, you can try adding the mac address manually to the network adapter.

  • But first of all, you need to find the MAC address of the adapter. Then open the command prompt and then execute the following command. Ipconfig /all.
  • Next, you will see the mac address of your network adapter right next to Physical Address. You just have to note it down in a text file.
  • Then open the control panel and go to Network and Sharing Center option.  After that Change adapter settings. Now Right-click on your network adapter and then select the Properties.
  • If you are using the properties window then click on the Configure button.
  • Now go to the Advanced tab and then select the Network Address option. You have to select the radio option next to the blank field. Also, you can type in the MAC address that you copied earlier without any dashes. Then click on the Ok button to save changes.

You can also reboot your computer and see if it fixes the issues.

12. To Check Your Antivirus:

The Antivirus software in computers is an essential part to keep you safe from a crowd of online and offline threats. By using Windows it has a built-in antivirus called Windows Defender.  Most of them use third-party antivirus software for greater protection. It is the part of that protection that they can sometimes be a bit too aggressive. Also, they can block your internet that causes the DNS Server not to respond to an error. If you want to fix that then you can simply uninstall your antivirus software.

If you uninstall your antivirus software then open the control panel. After that go to Programs and Features. By using the list of installed software you can find the antivirus software. Then right-click on it and select the Uninstall option. You just have to follow the uninstallation wizard to uninstall the antivirus software.

When you can uninstall the antivirus then reboot Windows and see if you can access the internet.

13. How to Reinstall Network Drivers:

By the corrupted network drivers, it can also cause all sorts of problems. But the simple is that updating or reinstalling the drive. Then you might be able to fix DNS Server not responding error. Then you can download the latest network drivers from your motherboard manufacturer website. In this case, you can find a device that has access to the internet.
